Can you believe that there is even more?? Michelle B is just so awesome, she made this adorable little Halloween Mummy treat bag using a 2"x 4" paper sack, and from Stampin' Up! Sahara Sand ink, Whisper Whte cardstock, Basic Black cardstock, and

Michelle didn't actually make this one at my Stamp & Scrap night, she had made it for me earlier but I was so busy I didn't have time to get it photographed and posted.

Michelle B Strikes Back, day 4

Michelle B. just keeps them coming.  This card demonstrates a super simple skill that if you haven't utilized before you might want to the next time you are working with a bold image stamp.

After you have inked up and stamped your image, you may notice that you have places that weren't inked as thoroughly as you would want.  Often this seems to make the design look cheap or shabby.  Don't throw that card away, just take out your blender pen or Aquapainter (on sale this month from Stampin' Up! for only $7.95). With your Aquapainter, pick up some of the desired ink color directly off of your ink pad and then carefully watercolor in those naked spots.  This will save your card and make sure that you never are naked again--in the stamping bold stamps department at least.

Isn't it amazing how much Michelle B. can get done in five hours?? I haven't even told you yet that while these represent the different designs that she did, it doesn't even begin to show how many of each she made.  I would guess that she made at least six of each design and I didn't even copy all of the designs (some were very similar to things that I have already shared with you all.)

Isn't this an adorable card??  I know that Michelle found it on Splitcoaststampers but she made it her own by using the colors that she had on hand instead of the retired Stampin' Up! In Color colors that were shown on the website's sample.

A funny story and a don't let this happen to you moment: Michelle was using the Stampin' Write markers to color directly on the rubber of the stamp but she couldn't figure out why the Real Red was not stamping correctly.  Well, here is why, journaling markers are not made to be used on the rubber the same way that the water soluble Stampin' Write markers are.  The journaling pens dry too quickly and because they are permanent, they don't blend as nicely.

Michelle also wanted me to share with you that the Stampin' Up! journalers are so permanent that my stamp is still stained red despite being cleaned twice with Stampin' Mist and twice with Stazon Cleaner.  Amazing--imagine how long your journaling will last in your scrapbook.

Michelle B Strikes Back, day 1

I apologize that it has been a while since I updated my blog.  I have been working on lots of non-stamping stuff and was so far behind on the stamping items that I had to do that I had very little time for pleasure.

However, Michelle B. was over at my place on Saturday night (obviously we didn't miss much by choosing not to watch the Nebraska Cornhuskers' game) at one of my quarterly Stamp & Crop nights.  We had pizza and a great time. 

MIchelle B. got lots more work done than I did though, so over the next few days, I will show some of the cards she created.  She did use a lot of ideas that she got off of Splitcoaststampers.com and I don't know who specifically but feel free to let me know and I can give you credit for them.

Sock Monkey from a Friend

Isn't this adorable?? This beautiful Socky Monkey card is from my friend and fellow demonstrator, Jessi P.  also out of Omaha, NE. 

She needed to borrow some of the new catalogs from me because, well, because they are Stampin' Up!'s newest catalogs and they are so awesome!!!

Anyhow, I was so thankful I could help Jessi and this adorable card was a special bonus.

Jessi used the Sock Monkey Stamp Set, So Saffron cardstock, Chocolate Embossing powder, Kraft Cardstock, Chocolate chip embossing powder, Real Red Marker and then she used a Tide Bleach pen to color in the lighter accents on Sock Monkey.

31 Days of Stampin' Up! Chipboard, Day 23

  Aren't these fabulous?? At my Monogram Stamp Camp last Friday, lots of ladies came over to create awesome home decor accents or just great gifts.

They each started out with a black photo matte, and a plain chipboard letter from the On Board Simon Lower set.  Each letter was then covered with Basic Black Craft ink and then stamped with a small design in a color of their choice.  A coordinating background color was chosen to mount the letter on.

Then they got creative.  I had an entire tub of ribbons, wires, accessories and more that they could choose from to embellish their letters.

As you can see, Cori C., Marsha C. and Steph P. all made it happen with an eye towards creativity.  We had an awesome time and it was amazing to me how different everyone's letter turned out.

Michelle B's Beat Goes On, Day 4

Occasionally, one of the Stampin' Up! Hostess sets is just too fabulous.  That is the case with this level three hostess stamp set, Time Well Spent.  Michelle B. earned this set in February when she was the hostess for her stamp club, the Yo Yo Yellow Chicks.  She had been coveting it ever since she had come to my last Crop & Stamp in December and got to play with mine. 

I was lucky because as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, SU! sent me Time Well Spent as a Holiday thank you.  Fabulous!!

I have to tell you that whenever I see pink and brown used together, it always makes me think of chocolate and strawberry ice cream with just a touch of vanilla. The kind of ice cream that we used to have at my grandma's when everyone was too lazy to make the homemade stuff.

Anyway, these awesome cards were created by FABULOUS Michelle B.  Michelle is a wonderful stamper and is more ambitious than I ever am.  I just love her and I hope she forgives me since I though I would get these uploaded last week.  Thanks Michelle!!

Michelle B. is so ambitious, she works ahead so that she not only has cards on hand for every occasion but makes sets of cards to give as gifts. 

You might have realized that Michelle is much more organized and of the work-ahead variety than most of us, however, she has a great plan to help each of you out. 

Spend 1 evening or afternoon a month creating all of your birthday cards for the next month.  Sign them, envelope them, address them and then you are ready to send them out the week before for the event.

Isn't it cool how it almost looks like this horse is running across the plains towards an unbelievably handsome and rugged cowboy that will sweep you off your feet and carry you away to a secluded and pristine mountain stream??

Uhhh...

Perhaps I have been reading too many romance novels.

Anyway, Michelle B. simply stamped twice. 

How to:

Fully ink up your stamp, and then stamp what you would consider the main or darkest image.  Then without re-inking, stamp the next image just slightly behind the first one.  Continue this until you get the movement effect that you desire or your stamp has no more ink left.

What project does not benefit from the addition of google eyes?? Well, practically speaking, a wedding invitation would probably not be the best place.
